Alberobello (BA) Puglia

Alberobello, with the unique pinnacles of its roofs, is a well known village at the heart of the plateau of the Murge. Its historic centre has been designated UNESCO World Heritage site for its trulli, the traditional white dry stone huts with conical roofs, all with mysterious symbols painted on them, such as hearts pierced by an arrow, crosses and astrological symbols. Rione Monti, with its 1000 trulli, is the most ancient part of the town, whereas the quarter called Rione Aia Piccola hosts Casa Pezzolla, a group of 15 trulli seat of the Museum of the Territory; finally, there is the Trullo Sovrano, a spectacular setting for shows and concerts. A unique place, Alberobello waits only to be discovered by curious and interested visitors.
