Candela

Candela (FG) Puglia

Candela is a small village of the southern Daunina Apennines and is located on the top of two hills, San Rocco and San Tommaso. The story of the village is closely connected with the Ofanto River. The presence of the river and that of the stream called Carapelle make the local vegetation luxuriant and wild, turning Candela into a place where tourists can slow down and listen to the passing of time far from the frantic rhythm of the city. The medieval centre is characterised by the presence of beautiful churches and building.
