Casperia (RI) Lazio

Between the left bank of the Tiber and the western slopes of the Sabini Mountains, in a beautiful natural setting, lies Casperia. With its architecture and artistic details, the old town is imbued with a Medieval atmosphere: must-see sites include the majestic walls and the two gates through which the town can be accessed, still on foot, along with the narrow alleyways and winding steps. But the thing that will really win over visitors to Casperia is its cuisine: try “stringozzi”, pasta made by hand using just water and flour and usually prepared with a meat sauce, or porcini mushrooms, intense land-based flavors with a long history that intertwines with that of the local area.
