Civitanova Marche

Civitanova Marche (MC) Marche

Citanova Marche is a city divided between the land and sea: the High City is an ancient town surrounded by the walls of a Medieval castle, whilst the built-up coastal area is the area most closely linked to the sea and its history. The architectural and cultural gems most worth a visit are the historical Annibal Caro Theatre, the Moretti Municipal Art Gallery with its collection of contemporary art, the Church of Sant’Agostino, the Church of Saint Francis, the Church of San Paolo, and the Church of San Marone. Every year in June, the event that best sums up the maritime identity of this town takes place: the Festival of the Sea, a festival of flavors and aromas during which visitors can taste and discover ancient local recipes.
