Clusone, a regional center of the Seriana Valley, spreads along the hillside below the surrounding mountains. Making their way to the medieval borgo, visitors will be enchanted by the narrow crisscrossing lanes, historic homes, the characteristic atmosphere and genuine hospitality of this mountain town. Art and architecture lovers will admire the beautiful Basilica of the Assumption. The entrance portal stands at the height of majestic external stairways, and the interior hosts sculptures by Andrea Fantoni (1659-1734). The "Oratory of the Disciplines" displays rare exterior frescos; at Piazza dell'Orologio we find the town's medieval tower with its astronomical clock, the symbol of the town. For rest and refreshment, stop at one of the cafés, for a special Clusone biscuit, made with almonds and chocolate!
