Frontone (PU) Marche

Part of the ancient realm of the Montefeltros, the hilltop town of Frontone is, with its surrounding landscape, the perfect place for anyone looking to get back to nature, or anyone wanting to set off and discover the area on foot, on mountain bikes or with snowshoes. Here you can explore nature whilst remaining in close contact with the animal kingdom: the area is home to birds of prey of rare beauty, and this is where the Catria horse comes from. The historical and architectural soul of the town is instead closely linked to the Church of Santa Maria dell’Acqua Nera, which houses a terracotta statue of the Virgin with Child, and the castle, a piece of architecture which embodies the Medieval history of the area with its lines and strength.
