Gemmano, once ruled by the House of Malatesta, is a village surrounded by an incredibly beautiful landscape. It is located in the highest part of the valley Valconca, in the Province of Rimini, in a breath-taking scenery. The area also hosts a very interesting natural element, the Onferno Caves, part of the natural reserve of Onferno. These are the only natural caves in the Province of Rimini and are open to the public. Visitors can admire their unique geological structure and the over 6000 bats living in the darkness of the caves.
