Saluzzo (CN) Piemonte

A cradle of civilization in the Marche region, Saluzzo is an elegant, sophisticated town. The historic center, which dates back to medieval times, is in the upper part of the town with its narrow streets and historic buildings, over which towers the wonderful and imposing castle. Today the castle is home to historical archives, beautiful museum spaces and important cultural events. This is a place famous for its furniture and antiques and is steeped in Occitan culture. It is also home to the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale (Modern Music Institute), and its musical heritage can still be seen today in the many events held locally. This small but wonderful town at the foot of Monviso brings together culture and history, gastronomy and tradition, to the tune of the melodies that enliven its atmosphere.
