Sardara

Sardara (SU) Sardegna

Nestled in the fertile Campidano plane lies the village of Sardara. Traces of its ancient past can still be seen in the remains of the medieval outer wall and the Sant'Anastasìa well temple which was built in the Nuragic age and was one of the most important cult places on the island between the Bronze and Iron Ages. A number of materials found here are preserved in the Villa Abbas Archaeological Museum, an interesting place that takes the visitor back in time on a journey from Medieval times to the Roman Empire and even further back in time to the mysterious era of the Nuraghi and the Pre-Nuragic times. Sardara is also known for its thermal baths located just a few kilometers from the village, two modern wellness spas where guests are invited to relax and unwind.
