Silanus (NU) Sardegna

Silanus is a village that sits on rich, fertile land, where cereals, barley, beans, olives, vineyards and fruit trees have been cultivated for ages. A village from ancient history, it is surrounded by the valuable traces of this past with a long history to tell. Impressive nuraghe such as the Corbos and tombs of the giants sprout like stone flowers in the green landscape. Another example of this beauty is the complex of Santa Sabina, which includes a nuraghe, a tomb of giants and a Medieval church, but there is also the beautiful Church of San Lorenzo, a jewel of religious architecture that embellishes the old town with its elegance and which contains, in its interior, frescoes of the fourteenth century in which, between the images of the saints, stands the figure of St. Christopher.
