Passaborgo is the digital passport for travelers who want to discover the wonderful cities of Italy.

Until 30 September 2017, you can download the free Passaborgo app to receive your digital passport. You can collect stamps for over 200 destinations out of the 1000 taking part in the Borghi – Viaggio Italiano project and enjoy an adventure rich in excitement and discovery.

A journey through 18 regions and places steeped in Italian tradition, where you can discover a unique way of life and immerse yourself in Italy at its most authentic.

HOW THE APP WORKS

To receive your passport to Italy

  • Download the free Passaborgo app available from the App Store and Google Play
  • Sign up and log in
  • Receive your digital passport straight away, ready for you to complete!

To complete your Passaborgo

  • Plan your journey using the illustrated map of Italy on the viaggio-italiano.it website
  • Include any of the 200 destinations taking part in the Passaborgo initiative
  • Activate the app and set off on your Italian adventure
  • Each time you visit one of the 200 destinations taking part in the Passaborgo initiative, the app will use GPS to recognize your location and will automatically add the stamp of the town you have visited to your digital passport
  • The more participating towns you visit, the more stamps you can collect, enabling you to take advantage of deals with local businesses and become a “Borghi Traveler of the Year”!

How to become a Borghi Traveler of the Year

  • Visit the 200 towns taking part in Passaborgo
  • Complete your digital passport by collecting all the stamps
  • receive your Borghi Traveler of the Year certificate!
